Naomi Becomes Obed’s Nurse

This week Pastor Ron continues his series in the book of Ruth.  This time we see the women of the town taking Obed, Ruth’s new baby, and presenting him to Naomi.

Notes:

C.  Naomi become the Child’s Nurse (V16)

Then Naomi…

1.  took the child

2.  and laid him in her lap,

3.  and became his nurse.

D.  The Women in Town name the Child (V17a)

1.  The neighbor women gave him a name, saying, “A son has been born to Naomi!”

2.  So they named him Obed

E.  The Narrator’s Conclusion (V17b

1.  He is the father of Jesse,

2.  the father of David.
